German Fruit Kuchen

4 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons sugar
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup milkFilling: 4 cups fruit, sliced or cut into bite-sized pieces.
Streusel:
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons flour
3/4 cup sugar1. Butter 8" x 11" baking dish.
2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
3. Topping: seasoning according to fruit: cinnamon for apple, almond for peaches, lemon juice for blueberries - just sprinkle a little on top.
4. Stir crust ingredients together with spoon.
5. Using fingers, pat in bottom and halfway up sides of prepared dish.
6. Fill with fruit, sprinkle with streusel and add seasoning if desired.
7. Bake for 40 minutes. Fruit should be soft and crust golden.
8. Cool.
9. Can serve warm or at room temp.
10. Serves 8-10
