Chocolate Banana Coffee Cake

Time to prepare: @ 1 hour1 cup butter
2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas (about 5)
3 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips1. Butter a 13"x9"cake pan.
2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
3. Cream together butter and sugar on medium speed of electric mixer.
4. Add eggs and beat until smooth.
5. Add vanilla and mashed bananas; mix until smooth.
6. Sift together flour, baking powder and baking soda.
7. Add to banana mixture alternately with sour cream, ending with dry ingredients.
8. Pour half of the batter cake pan.
9. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle half of the mixture over the batter in pan.
10.Top with half of the chocolate chips. Repeat layers.
11.Bake at 350 degreesF for 45-50 minutes.
