Spicy Raisin Coffee Cake

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sour cream
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup broken walnuts
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 cups seedless raisins1. Butter a 9-by-9-by-2-inch pan.
2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
3. Cream together butter and 1 cup sugar until fluffy.
4. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
5. Blend in sour cream.
6. Sift together flour, baking powder and baking soda and salt.
7. Stir into creamed mixture; mix well.
8. Pour half of the batter in pan.
9. Mix nuts, 1/2 cup sugar, and cinnamon.
10.Sprinkle half of the mixture over the batter in pan.
11.Sprinkle raisins over nut mixture.
12.Spoon on remaining batter.
13.Top with remaining nut mixture.
14.Bake for 40-45 minutes.
15.Cut in squares and serve warm.
