Fluffy Meringue Frosting

Skill required: Confident Beginner 3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
2 tablespoons Water
1/4 teaspoon Cream Of Tartar
1/8 teaspoon Salt
1/4 Cup Corn Syrup
2 large Egg Whites
1 teaspoon Vanilla1. In a saucepan, mix together sugar, water, cream of tartar, salt and corn syrup.
2. Bring to a boil while stirring constantly. Remove from heat and put aside.
3. Beat the egg whites and the vanilla until they are foamy.
4. Continue mixing at high speed while pouring the hot mixture in the saucepan into the mixing bowl in a thin stream. Beat until the mixture forms very stiff and glossy peaks.
This frosting should be used on the same day it is mixed.
