Vanilla Frosting

Skill required: Beginner

6 tablespoons Butter, room temperature
1 lb. box Confectioners Sugar (1 lb. equals approx. 4 Cups)
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
1/4 Cup Milk (more may be required in the mixing)

Add all the ingredients to a mixing bowl and beat until the frosting is soft, smooth and creamy. If necessary to make it easily spreadable, add additional milk, but only 1 tablespoon at a time.

Yield:Enough to frost an 8" or 9" layer cake. A half recipe will frost a dozen or so cupcakes.
