Chocolate Coffee Ice Cream

1 teaspoon cornstarch
3/4 cup sugar
4 separated eggs
1/2 pound sweet chocolate
1 cup strong (black) coffee
1 pint whipped cream

1. Mix cornstarch and sugar.

2. Add well-beaten egg yolks.

3. Stir in coffee.

4. Melt chocolate in double boiler.

5. Cook slowly until smooth, stirring constantly.

6. Cool.

7. Fold in well-beaten egg whites and whipped cream.

8. Freeze

Yield: 4 servings
