Pecan Pie

Skill required: It's Pecan Pie! You'll figure it out! 1 9" pie crust
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup packed brown sugar
3 eggs
1/3 ccup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
pinch salt
1-1 1/2 cups pecan halves, whole if possible rather than chopped1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Combine corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, butter, and vanilla, and salt in a saucepan over VERY low heat. (You have the heat on to combine things; you're not trying to cook anything.)
3. Pour filling into pie shell.
4. Top with whole pecan halves.
5. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
6. Allow to come to nearly room temperature before slicing.
