Matza Balls (Knaedlach)

1 cup matza meal
3 tablespoons shortening
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs

1. Beat eggs.

2. Blend matza meal, shortening and salt with eggs.

3. Add 1/2 cup cold water to make dough firm enough to shape into balls.

4. Cook in covered pot of salted boiling water or in chicken soup for 10 - 15 minutes.

Yield: @ 1 dozen matza balls
